Customer complaining of a weird “buzzing” noise coming from the heat pump. Pressures and amps checked out fine. Equipment is working as it should be. The customer is not used to the 2 stage operation of this equipment and on low speed, the compressor is unloading some of the refrigerant within, only compressing at 65% of its max rated capacity. It does change the tone and frequency but is normal
New ac unit installed. Converted from a gas heating split system to a heat pump split system. This qualifies for $2000 federal tax rebate 25c, $750 srp rebate, and a lower energy bill with 2 stages of equipment operation. This is best used with an ecobee to control the staging and have WiFi controls. We have a happy customer and this is a 5 ton at $10,850 up front, but a net cost of $8,100 after rebates.
Post install quality control. This behemoth stands 5’ tall, weighs 350lbs, is side discharge, and features a modulating inverter compressor. The indoor unit is 2 speed, and together they achieve a whopping 17 seer2 efficiency rating. This beat out our competitor Semper Fi Heating and Cooling, who was offering a measly 14.3 seer2 Goodman unit! 🫣
Replaced low voltage fuse. Customer complained of one room being hotter than the others and while at the furnace, found this type of workmanship. Even though the customer doesn’t see this (out of site, out of mind), at least take pride in the work you do, or call 480 Mechanical to have your system working correctly
Someone carelessly left cinder blocks with a rope attached to it on our customers ac unit. Needless to say, the rope was wrapped up on the fan shaft creating resistance and heat (151°), and a lot of shaft play. Replaced fan motor. Heat pump, hvac, air conditioning, carrier, repair, fix, happy customer
